Sketches from Borders

So the concept art team was fortunate enough to receive some time off from work the past few days. It's been a great opportunity for me to work on some stuff I've been wanting to get my hands on. I also got to catch a few dozen z's. I'm a nap machine if I don't have any deadlines to worry about.

I do feel a bit guilty about not going out to draw this past week. Well, I did, but not as many times as I had originally hoped on. But anyways, I got to go sketching with my lead concept artist, Armand Dacuba and our recent new-hire, Mitchell Mohrhauser (with his girlfriend, too). It's always fun sketching with these guys. They're very passionate about their art and we always end up talking about different artists and games that inspire us. There's really nothing better than drawing at a Borders bookstore with your comrades. Okay, that's enough babble-speak from me.

Here's some of the drawings I did today. I'm going to try to take the character from the first scan to completion. She is sort of an extrapolated version of one of the witches from last night's entry. Every so often I like doing something whimsical and cute. :-p
