BRB SHIP

I was inspired by my buddy, Jon McCoy, and the spaceship designs he's been posting on his blog, so I decided on taking a shot at it. It can get tricky trying to establish the proportions, but it's still fun. I'll try to take one of these to finish soon.



Tomorrow morning I'll be heading off to San Francisco, CA for two weeks. I'll try to post some stuff while I'm there. I'm extremely tired and nothing I've just written sounds right. ~___~

This was a crop of a larger image I was working on, but decided on discarding the rest of it. Just wasn't really digging it.

First off, here's some news.

I recently resigned from my job as concept artist at Ignition Entertainment Florida and am currently in search of any new opportunities that might require a concept artist/illustrator. I'm currently available for freelance/contract/full-time.

I'd like to wish the best of luck to everyone at Ignition. It was fun working with all you guys, and hopefully it won't be too long before we get to work together again. :)

And here's tonight's speedy. I'm glad I spent a bit more time on this one, because the composition turned out a lot stronger that what I had before, in my opinion.

Speedy 20090619

I've recently been thinking about changing the way I light my images. I want to be able to use multiple light sources. Something like having one major light source, but some smaller and subtler light sources hanging around. Not sure if this was well depicted in this image. But I wanted to do a quick environment speedpainting. I ended up spending a bit more time on this than I wanted to. Not really happy with the composition, it seems a bit cramped in the background.

Standoff WIP

I don't really like sharing WIP's to the general public, but I figured I can't just continue to post art every month or so. So here's something I've been working on during my off hours. I hope to be able to finish this this weekend.

Movable type was just too difficult for me to work with. I've gone back to Wordpress. There might be some broken links here and there. Perhaps some oddities or poorly scaled images.. I'll fix them soon enough. WOOPS!

-Fix broken jpg links
-Change any abnormal jpg scaling glitches seen in Google Chrome
